Expandable Graphite

Expandable graphite is a flexible graphite product made from high-quality natural flake graphite produced by our company through special modification treatment. It is an ideal new-type sealing material, widely used for dynamic and static sealing in industries such as petroleum, chemical processing, electric power, aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding, and instrumentation.

After instantaneous high-temperature treatment, expandable graphite transforms from a flake structure into a worm-like form, with its volume expanding by 100–400 times. This expanded graphite still retains the properties of natural graphite, while exhibiting good formability, flexibility, extensibility, and sealing performance. It is a high-quality raw material for various graphite sheets and sealing components, and can also be used as a new type of protective slag and exothermic agent in the metallurgical industry.
